Courthouse Square Family Dentistry was established in 1975 as the first and only dental practice in Wakulla County, and it continues to provide the highest quality dental care in a state of the art treatment facility within a quaintly inviting environment. Wakulla County is among the fastest growing counties in Florida and our dental practice is situated in the heart of downtown Crawfordville on Courthouse Square. For the many patients who choose to drive from Tallahassee, it is only 13 miles south to our very special hometown Dentist with big city skills. We pride ourselves on offering pain free treatment and are skilled in helping nervous patients overcome their fears.
Dr. Mooney is a licensed Dentist, currently treating patients from the six counties surrounding Wakulla and welcomes all patients in his adopted community without discrimination, as he has for more than 45 years. Dr. Mooney is a Florida Healthy Kids provider with MCNA and is contracted with Cigna Dental PPO & Dental Health Alliance networks, which includes Sun Life, Aetna PPO & most United Concordia PPO plans. Our staff expert, on the subject of most Dental insurance plans, is happy to advise and guide you on the many choices, as well as to assist you in filing forms for proper reimbursement. We understand how complicated insurance can be and we seriously believe that our job is to help you receive maximum benefits while maintaining your rights to choose your own doctor and procedures. We cannot help but brag about our Dentist’s heart and conscience because he has offered responsible and charitable care to so many for so long. He was the first Dentist ever in Wakulla County and if you ask his patients they will tell you – Dr. Mooney is simply the best! Our country garden in the middle of Courthouse Square is charming and relaxing for patients and serves as a little downtown refuge for wildlife. Our patients linger for a swing, share cuttings from our collection of heirloom roses, or take home a sprig of organic herbs from our garden to spice up dinner.
